Happy Tuesday, all! It started out as a beautiful day this morning, so I figured I would take advantage of that and do some running of errands this morning. Also wanted to paint our front door and garage doors with a NEW color! Youngest son had agreed to do the garage doors and I proceeded out to paint the front door and matching sidelights. It went great until I was starting on the second coat of paint and off in the distance I heard thunder! Well, I thought I had better step up the pace on the painting, although I was working on the front porch which is nice and large. I had about half of the second coat finished when it started to rain. Within 10 minutes, it was raining quite hard and thundering! I DID get it finished!! WOO HOO!!! So, I am a happy camper tonight! It looks great! Oh, and son finished the garage doors! YEAH for him!
The card today is one I made a few days ago for a good friend's birthday. I love doing the hinged cards! This one was done with a base of SU Whisper white cardstock. I found the patterned paper in a stack that I have had for a long time, but it really went well with the stamp from the Lizzie Anne "Jolie Fleurs" flower set. The tag was cut with one of the Ribbon Trio nesties. I used the Martha Stewart Arch lattice border punch and the brad is from a Making Memories brad set. I punched out a flower from the SU triple flower punch and used it to back the brad before inserting it. I colored in part of the flower, then applied gold and baby blue Stickles. Finally, I took some SU Crystal Effects and filled in the outside border of the flower. Neat, huh?! Til tomorrow (maybe!).....
