Happy Monday, everyone! Another drab, dreary day in West Virginia.....just perfect for crafting and sewing! I have finished up all the card kits for the classes this week and decided it was time to do a "fun" card.
I love pink and black together in clothes and also in cardmaking. That combo prompted this card, along with the "pink diamond" shapes that you see on this card. NOOO, it is not a punch. It is a piece that is cut out of the heart card on the Wild Card Cartridge for the Cricut. I needed 20 cards and had these 20 pieces sitting on the table, ready to throw them in the trash, when VOILA!! An idea comes to mind....save them and use them on a card. So, I took out my Paper Trey stamp set "background Basics" and used one of the single stamps to make the floral image. I stamped it in black on the white circle, then mounted them onto my new "find"....hehe!! Goes to show you shouldn't throw away all your scrap pieces if they have a nice shape to them! The base card is SU Black and the pink is SU Pretty Pink. I found the ribbon at a local craft store and the Happy Birthday stamp is from the Paper Trey set "Year Round Puns". I used one of my Martha Stewart border punche to make the decorative strip. I just LOOOOVE it! Til Tomorrow....
