Howdy, all! What a great day!! I finished all the preparations for the 3 classes in the next 2 weeks and now I can PLAY!!! Actually, tomorrow I plan on doing some serious sewing and maybe a card or 2, using some new items that just arrived. Don't ya just love new "toys"??!!!

I got the Victorian Piercability Border Dies in the mail today. That is what I used along the border of this card. It cuts and embosses, then before you remove the card from the die, you paper-pierce the scroll design. See the close up below for better details. I started with a base card of SU Brilliant Blue and added CA Paper Goods Constellation Spring White for the tags and the border. I have a tendency to do things backwards.....I have the whole card figured out with just the blue and white, then decided that another color should be brought in. Decided on peach, because a peach flower just happened to be sitting in a pile of things to be put away, hence the combo on this card. I threaded blue ribbon through a piece of lace trim that I had in the sewing room, since I wanted a Victorian look to the card. The "For My Friend" comes from the SU set, Elegant Cheer, one of my favorite sets. And they didn't retire THAT one.....good thing! Oh, the peach color I added is SU Groovy Guava. I am just SO excited about all the new Nestabilities that are coming out! Boy, am I going to be in BIG trouble.....hehehe!! Til tomorrow....
