Hi, everyone! I didn't get a chance to work on any cards today. I have been wanting to redecorate our entry hall, so I stripped off all the wallpaper border out there. Then took a trip to Walmart to buy the paint. Can't wait to get to the painting tomorrow morning!
I did this card 2 weeks ago and never posted it. I wanted to try out a technique I saw on another blog where she did dry embossing on the back of vellum. Then she colored in the design on the front. I used SU Barely Banana, Ballet blue and Sage green....not a very common combo, but it turned out pretty nice. I stamped the butterfly in black on vellum, turned the circle over and used a small stylus to emboss the back of the design. Then I flipped it over and colored in the butterfly. This really makes the design "pop". It is mounted on a scalloped nestie. The embossing folder is a CB folder and the border is from Martha Stewart.
Check out my clematis this year!! This is the largest the flowers have ever gotten and I am SO excited to see it grow this high! The pic was taken 2 weeks ago and today the flowers are the whole way up to the top of the pole! Til tomorrow (if I finish my painting)

Scrolled all the way to the bottom of your blog's 1st page before I clicked the "Comment". This butterfly turned out so pretty - another technique that's on my "want to try" list! Your cards have such a soft, pretty look to them.

Good luck w/ your new puppy - looks like a little lover!
