Hi everyone! What a icky, dreary type day! Had a few errands to run this morning, but had all afternoon to work in the craft room. I have wanted to try the "shadow box card" and here it is!
I used Wausau Glimmer white for the base card. The front is embossed with the Dots Sizzix texture plate. It doesn't emboss as well as the embossing folders but they are too small for the size of this card. The tulip stamp set is from Heartfelt Creations and I LOVE it! I used my Prisma pencils to color in the design. I embossed the inside pieces with the CB Swiss Dots folder. The yellow cardstock is Paper Trey Lemon Tart as is the matching Dotted Swiss ribbon. I used Crystal Effects on the blossoms. What I would have put on the inside of a card, I put on the back of this. I used my Lacey Scalloped circle nestie to cut the whole in the front and the piece where I stamped the tulips. The side borders are the Scalloped border punch from Stampin Up. The green behind the side borders is SU Garden Green, also the ink that I used for the "Happy Birthday". This a fun card to do and it didn't take more than 1 1/2 hours to complete. The second time won't take as long. Next I want to try the shadow box card that folds down and fits into an A2 envelope. Til tomorrow.....
