What a big contrast today from yesterday! The sun is shining, still very cold but what the heck??!! Another good day to stay inside and enjoy the warmth. I find that I make very few masculine cards, unless I really NEED to! But today this paper really "spoke" to me...Basic Grey is one of my fav lines of paper and cardstock. So, I chose Pipepline and Stoked from the Hang 10 collection. The colors are so deep and rich-looking. I think this one will be for my 2nd born.....he will be turning 27 in March. Can't believe my daughter will turn 30 this year! Wow......I can't be old enough to have kids this old??!!!! Anyway, back to my card. The slider card is so much fun to do! If you need a tutorial on this, check out Nicole's projects at capturethemoment.com. She has a wonderful set of instructions for this kind of card.

I pulled out some Bazzill blue, Bazzill brown and SU So Saffron for this. Used the square classic nesties for the front pieces and the "birthday wishes" comes from Nicole's newest set of stamps called "Mixed Messages". Inks used are SU Close to Cocoa and Brocade Blue. The ribbon is SU Brocade Blue. I love the way all their items are color-coordinated! Way to go, Stampin UP!!!! The inside saying on the card is SU "God's Blessings"...this stamp just was made for a slider card since the saying is in 2 parts, all on one stamp.
Now it's time to go run some errands! Son's dryer wasn't working, so I finished his laundry for him and need to run it over to his apartment. Then I am off to a fellow cardmaker's house to make a delivery! When I get back, youngest son is getting up to do HIS laundry! He had no classes at the college today and doesn't even go to work today, so he usually is up around 2 in the afternoon! Man, that must be nice.....this gal never gets to sleep past 6 AM. It's just in me to be up early with the birds and the worms. Like they say, the early bird always gets one......LOL
Have a wonderful day!

Debbie
