What a dreary day here in West Virginia! Great day to spend in the craft room where the lights are bright and the company is good....company consists of all 4 cats and the dog! Ha! They all love to be down there when I am working (playing). The dog sleeps on the sofa, the cats need to check out anything and everything before deciding where to take a nap. Inevitably, one cat manages to "nab" my chair when I get up to find a tool. Then, it is a matter of getting the furry creature to move his/her carcass!
I told you I would be using my new Sakura Clear Gloss pens. Well, here it is! Like I have said before, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Paper Trey stamps! So, I pulled out the set "Piece of Cake" and proceeded with this card. The cake is stamped in SU So Saffron yellow and the flowers I did with Colorbox Cats eye Chalk inks, in Pink pastel, Lime pastel and Blue Lagoon since I didn't want to lose the bright colors on top of the yellow ink. The base cardstock is SU Tempting Turquoise, the pink is Regal Rose and the white is Brilliant white from Paper Trey. (there's that name again!) I cut the cake with the classic rectangle nestie and used my Martha Stweart border punch to make the fancy borders. The printed paper is SU Petals and Paisley collection. THEN, I grabbed these wonderful, new Sakura Clear Gloss pens and decided to use the clear one on the already stamped flowers and saying. See how it shines and looks embossed??!! These are great for finer detail. I am a HUGE fan of Crystal Effects, but for lettering and small stamped images, these pens are great! Can't wait to try out the other 9 colors that came in this set....
Well, am off to search for a few items that I bought last week and can't find! Imagine that....I KNOW I put them in my sewing room, but where escapes me at the moment! Wish me luck!!
Have a wonderful day!
Debbie
