Good morning and HAPPY MONDAY!! The weekend was great.......got some crafting done and managed to get to AC Moore with a friend yesterday afternoon! Man.....did we make out well with the sales and the coupons! Came home with quite a haul! It pretty much drained me for the rest of the day, since it's an hour drive over and an hour drive back. So I just took some to relax and enjoy some quiet time. Come to think of it, I haven't even read the Sunday paper yet....may get to it later!
This card today was done for a Challenge on my favorite Craft Forum!! We do one every other Sunday. One of the gals posts the sketch or technique and we have basically 2 weeks to do it. Most of the time, everyone has theirs submitted within a few days of the posting of the sketch. The technique is Dahlia paper folding. I have never tried this before, but I really like the looks of it when it is finished! I used Purely Pomegranate textured cardstock for the base card. The double sided paper is from the SU Berry Bliss collection. The brown is Close to Cocoa. The shimmery white cardstock is from California Paper Goods Constellation collection. I punched the tag on the ribbon with my SU punch and mounted the circles to it. Found a half pearl in the Su collection of trinkets! Don't ya just love the design of this flower??!!! I surely do....
Well, am off to the eye dr to see if there is still infection in the left eye, plus he is checking my new glasses since there still is a problem with those. If it ain't one thing, it's another!! Till tomorrow....
